OUR CORE BELIEFS
These core values are the foundation truths that unite us
WE BELIEVE IN:
GOD
We believe in one God, who exists united in three persons: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit
THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible to be the true, authoritative and infallible word of God. We believe that every part of Scripture is inspired by God and all of it is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction and for training to live in conformity to God's will.
THE CREATION AND THE FALL
We believe that God created the heavens and the earth. He is the source and sustenance of all creation.
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but man sinned and brought physical and spiritual death upon himself. Because of man's sinful nature, he is alienated from God and is in need of salvation.
THE GOSPEL
We believe in the Gospel: that God the Father sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin and lived a sinless life in obedience to the Father. He was crucified and He suffered for our sake. He was buried and on the Third day He rose again, and then ascended to the Heavens where He sits at the right hand of the Father, continually interceding on our behalf.
We believe He will come once again in glory, to judge the living and the dead. His Kingdom shall have no end.
SALVATION
We believe that salvation is a gracious gift from God that was accomplished by the atoning death of Jesus Christ. It can not be earned by our works and deeds but has been granted to us by grace through faith. As such, we can be reconciled to God and be in right-standing with the Father.
We receive our salvation by confessing with our mouths and believing in our hearts that Jesus Christ died for us and that He is our LORD.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent by the Father and the Son. We believe He convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgement and offers direction and truth to His disciples.
We believe the Holy Spirit dwells in those who trust in Jesus Christ, and He continues to form us more into Christ-likeness.
THE CHURCH
We believe that all those who receive salvation form united the body of Christ, of which He is the head. As the body of Christ, we are called to reflect God's light on this earth through proclaiming the gospel, making disciples and continually worshiping God.
We believe that different parts of the body have been given different gifts of the Spirit to edify each other in the church for good works and for the proclamation of the gospel.
This is our beloved community and we would love for you to join us as we journey in this path, seeking more of God every day.
